I can't believe I'm actually doing this.

There comes a point in every story where, at last, the protagonist walks out the front door. Lots of things incite them outside. Love. Adventure. Dragons. I suppose publishing this blog is my inciting incident. (Also the looming threat of Grad School on the horizon.....but more on that later.) Now I cannot return through the door. Mostly because you are reading this, and I'll feel like a fool if I chicken out now.

Here is my plan: write and publish an essay a day. There are 28 days in February.  So, that means 28 essays by the end of the month. I collected prompts from friends, colleagues, G.K. Chesterton and others. The topics range from reconciliation to Star Wars, Augustine's hermeneutics to McDonald's at the Vatican (I kid you not, it's a true story. Google it!). Style will subjugate itself to the topic and thesis. Ultimately, after eight months out of my Undergraduate degree, I need to again immerse myself in the process of writing. An essay a day ought to do the trick.

In an internet world full of opinion pieces and fake news, I only hope to write well on something worth writing about. If you find an interesting prompt that you you like me to write on, I invite you to comment here on the blog or on Facebook where I post each essay! Serious prompts only. Or funny prompts. Or offers for free coffee. I'm not picky.

Grace & Peace,

-HGM
